This position functions as the key administrative support in the clinic which will maintain patient clinical administration information. This position will help to ensure patient data is accurate and up to date; coordinates with clinical teams to provide non-clinical assistance with stocking and rooming patients; is responsible for ensuring accurate registration for efficient referral processes; answer and route phone calls appropriately; assist in directing clinical patient questions and complaints to appropriate clinical teams.

Salary: $18.15/hour

1)  High School diploma or equivalent or equivalent; AND

2)  Any one, or any combination that totals 2 years from the following:

a.  work experience comparable to that at the Medical Office Associate level or in other positions of comparable responsibility performing duties including, but not limited to: entering, coding, verifying, storing, and retrieving information concerning a patient’s medical record either manually or via the electronic medical record (EMR) or other computer information system; compiling and recording medical charts, reports, correspondence, and insurance information using computer system; and generating patient charge tickets with responsibility for retrieval and accuracy of information, applying correct changes for professional service indicated by the physicians, and collecting co-payments at the time of service; or
b.  college education with course work in a medical or para-medical field (such as nursing assistant, medical assistant or medical secretary) and/or business field (such as business, finance, computer science, public administration, or social science) (30 semester hours = 6 months, 60 semester hours = 1 year, 90 semester hours = 2 years); and work experience in a medical or para-medical field (such as nursing assistant, medical assistant or medical secretary)
