Short Description:

The incumbent in this position provides clinical duties assigned by Simmons Cancer Institute at SIU (SCI). The primary responsibility of the position is to ensure that safe, quality, efficient health care delivery is provided to patients. The incumbent will serve as a patient service coordinator and provide direct nursing services for physicians. This position performs daily application of the School's mission and vision in providing the highest quality care to our patients and families and working with our employees, physicians, and the communities we serve.

Salary: $4,533.24/month

Sign-On Bonus: Now offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year employment commitment for candidates identified for hire before February 28th!

Minimum Qualifications:

1) Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Illinois; AND

2) Certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and/or completion of an acceptable process to certify competency in chemotherapy administration; AND

3) 2 years of work experience as a Registered Professional Nurse.

Condition of Employment: Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, an out-of-state resident who is hired into this position must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of their start date.
