Under general supervision of the Director or Procurement Services, this position is responsible for managing the procurement life cycle process to ensure timely execution of contracts for the School of Medicine and SIU Physician’s & Surgeon’s d/b/a SIU HealthCare. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining the Master Purchasing Agreements and administrating the contract management database for the Procurement Office. The position will administer policies and procedures by which contracts are executed for the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University, on behalf of its School of Medicine (SOM), and SIU HealthCare. Establish and maintain standards of good business practice, sound fiscal management, compliance with governmental agencies and protection of the University and SIU HealthCare. Responsible for the development, negotiation of legal terms, continuous maintenance, and operational implementation of active contracts.

Salary:  $5,366.81/month

1)  Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, supply chain management, accounting, finance, or a field related to this position; AND

2)  5 years of professional business, supply chain management, or related field including one year of experience in an administrative position in state government, an institution of higher education, health care setting or comparable work environment.

Condition of Employment:  Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, an out-of-state resident who is hired into this position must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of their start date.
