This position will have responsibilities in administration, teaching, research and medical service as they pertain to the general mission of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and the specific needs of the Department of Neurology. The faculty member will have knowledge and practical skills in the diagnosis and care of patients with neuromuscular diseases and will be responsible for teaching this discipline to medical students and residents.

  1. Licesnsed as a physician in the State of Illinois
  2. Board certified or board eligible in clinical neurophysiology or neuromuscular medicine.
  3. Board certified or board eligible in neurology and at least one year of postdoctoral training or equivalent job experience in neuromuscular diseased and EMG.
  4. Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.
