Overview:  Employees in this title typically provide specialized clerical/office support including proficient use of computers (maintenance of databases, complex calendaring, and extensive use of various software programs).

'Ongoing Recruitment' indicates an ongoing need to recruit persons interested in this type of job.  This listing does not represent an actual vacancy, rather it allows interested persons to apply for this title in general.  If your application is acceptable and you meet the minimum qualifications, you will be eligible to sit for the Civil Service exam to be added to the employment register for future vacancies. 
 

1)  High School graduate or equivalent; AND

2) 12 months of clerical/office support work experience comparable to that performed at the Office Support Associate level of this series or in other positions of comparable responsibility, performing duties including, but not limited to, keyboarding from straight copy routine documents; replying to routine inquiries by sending form letters; scheduling appointments within clearly designated time frames; and creating, updating, revising and retrieving records and files of average difficulty, which may include confidential materials; AND

3)  Any one, or any combination that totals 2 years from the following:
a.  work experience performing clerical/office support work, including use of computer systems; or
b.  vocational training that provided a knowledge of generally accepted clerical procedures; or
c.  college or university course work in Office Occupations, Business Administration, Business Education, or closely related fields (36 semester hours = 2 years); or 
d.  college or university course work in any curriculum (60 semester hours = 2 years)
